P-EBT Food Benefits for the 2020-21 School Year
Activating a P-EBT 2020 Food Benefit Card video; Frequently Asked Questions for the Emergency Allotment of SNAP Benefits. Answers to many commonly asked questions about the Supplemental Emergency Allotment of SNAP Benefits. Notice to All Recipients of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). SNAP benefits are issued on an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, also known as the Colorado Quest Card. It looks like a credit or bank card and can be used at any authorized store across the country that has the EBT or Quest Card logo. Using a plastic card that works like a debit card, recipients may access their benefits at retail Point-of-Sale (POS) devices. Each Mississippi SNAP Benefit household will be issued an EBT card. The Mississippi EBT card can be used at any participating store displaying the Quest® logo.
The Continuing Appropriations Act 2021 and Other Extensions Act (the CR) extended the availability of P-EBT benefits for every month for which school is in session through September 30, 2021. OTDA cannot issue P-EBT food benefits to eligible students for the 2020-2021 school year until we receive approval from the United States Department of Agriculture, and we anticipate that P-EBT food benefits for the 2020-2021 school year will be issued to eligible children no sooner than March 2021.
