Best Online Betting Bonuses for 2021

Generally, the types of gambling bonuses offered tocustomers vary from one type of betting or gambling to the next. Online bookmakerstend have their own “bonus style” while poker rooms have their own take on promotions.

One thing gamblers should know about all bonuses ingeneral is that it is critical to understand the terms and conditionsattached to any offer. Understanding how the various types of betting promotionswork and knowing what to look for when evaluating an offer make the differencebetween finding value and losing money.

Below is a quick overview of what you can expect from all types of gambling bonuses. Later, we will dig into an explanation of the common terms and conditions punters will run into when claiming signup offers.

Sports Betting Bonuses and Promotions

SportsBetting Bonuses: Sports betting sites commonly offer deposit bonusesand free bets or “no-risk” wagers. Always read the fine print. Some things tolook out for are restricted types of bets, maximum win amount, and what youneed to do to withdraw the winnings.

The use of phrases such as “risk free” or “no-risk” is questionable at best, and some gambling regulators actually prohibit the use of such terminology in advertising. Typically, “risk free” wagers work by guaranteeing a customer’s first wager will be refunded with bonus credit if the wager loses. These offers can be beneficial, but it would be wise to give the terms and conditions a close read before proceeding.

Horse Racing Bonuses

Racing Betting Bonuses (coming soon!): Onlineracebooks typically offer rebate rewards or standard deposit bonuses.

Rebate rewards work by offering to return a percentage of eachcustomer’s action back as cash or site credit each week. For example, placing$1,000 worth of wagers under a 3% rebate program would result in $30 being returned.

Horse racing deposit offers give customers bonus cash in return for making a deposit. The bigger the deposit, the bigger the bonus.

Casino and Poker Bonuses

  • Online Casino Bonuses: The most common form of welcome offer at online casino sites is a deposit bonus. Sign up for an account, make your first deposit and get free money added. It doesn’t get any easier than that. Occasionally no-deposit casino bonuses are offered, along with game-specific promotions. As always, ensure the terms and conditions of any offer are fair and valuable before accepting.
  • Online Poker Bonuses: Poker sites most often offer deposit bonuses, with occasional promotions tied to tournament events and rewards programs. No-deposit poker bonus offers are also available from some online poker sites. Out of all the different forms of gambling, poker gives out the most useful, beneficial bonuses. If you can play a break-even game or better, the additional cash is extra money for your bankroll.

Gambling Rewards Programs

VIP and LoyaltyReward Programs: Customer reward and VIP programs are a popular meansby which betting sites seek to keep active players happy and loyal. In thecompetitive online gambling space, it is much cheaper to keep exiting players satisfiedthan it is to constantly recruit new customers.

VIP treatment, wagering rebates and points-for-cash programs range wildly in terms of quality and value. A quality rewards program can make a significant difference over the long run for higher-volume players.

Types of Betting Bonuses and Promotional Offers

Online betting bonuses are offered in many different forms. Some give you free money for signing up. Others match your first deposit dollar-for-dollar or refund your first bet if it loses.

There is an endless variety of betting bonuses, but most of them fit into one of several popular promotional incentive categories.

Betting Deposit Bonuses

The standard deposit bonus is the most common type ofwelcome offer for new customers. Nearly all betting sites offer incentivesdesigned to encourage new customers to sign up and make a deposit, and thatincentive usually comes in the form of a deposit match bonus.

For example, an online bookmaker may run a promotion offeringa 100% bonus worth up to $500 for all new customers. This means each customer’sfirst deposit is matched with an equal amount in bonus funds. Continuing our example,a $50 deposit in this case would result in the customer receiving $50 in bonusfunds to effectively double their first deposit.

Betting signup bonuses serve as an effective incentive forcustomers to try new online sportsbooks. The customer is given a chance toplace a few wagers with extra money and not a whole lot of up-front risk.

Remember – betting signup promotions always come withterms, conditions and restrictions.

The most common restriction attached to welcome bonuses isthat players are not allowed to deposit money, claim a bonus and then immediatelymake a withdrawal without placing any wagers.

The vast majority of all sportsbook deposit offers must be“cleared” before customers may withdraw the extra funds AND any winningsobtained by risking the extra cash. Bonuses are cleared by “rolling over” thefunds by wagering.

Clearing requirements are used to prevent fraud, not to takeadvantage of customers. The site owners want to make sure these rewards only goout to people who are actually there to play. However, it is also true thatclearing requirements can be excessive – which is why punters should always givethe terms and conditions a look before making a deposit.

Players should also be aware that bonus funds are usuallyissued as site credit rather than as withdrawable cash. Bonuses that are issuedas cash and that do not come with excessive wagering requirements are almostalways a good deal for customers.

Betting promotional incentives are not just for newcustomers either. Gambling sites want to encourage their customers to stayactive, reward real money play with VIP/loyalty rewards programs.

Betting

Generally speaking, the more often you play, the more reload or redeposit bonuses you are likely to receive.

No Deposit Bonuses

No-deposit betting bonuses are also quite common. As thename suggests, a no-deposit bonus offers new customers a little money just forsigning up – no deposit necessary. New punters simply sign up, receive their bonusfunds and place their first wagers.

The popularity of “free money” betting promotions is easy tounderstand. Customers do not have to deposit their own money or disclosepersonal financial decision but can still place a few wagers that may actually resultin real winnings.

The appeal is understandable, but punters should note thevast majority of no-deposit gambling offers come with two limiting terms:

  • Win caps
  • A deposit must be made at some point in order towithdraw winnings

Betting sites need to limit their exposure in order to avoid being overrun by bonus chasers. Win caps limit that exposure by putting an upper limit on the amount that can be won with a no-deposit offer. This means in most cases, players will not be able to use their no-deposit money to place a long-shot bet or spin a progressive jackpot for a giant win.

Second, betting sites often include a provision requiring customersto make a deposit prior to withdrawing any winning associated with the free cash. The reasons for this rule are to help prevent abuse of the offer and to ensure theoffer is only awarded to people who are actually planning on sticking around fora while.

Not all no-deposit bonuses come with these limitations, buteven those that do are still a good deal in most cases. New customers can trybetting sites and get a feel for the experience without having to risk theirown money up front.

As long as punters understand the terms and restrictions attached to any offer, no-deposit betting bonuses tend to provide significant value.

Free Bets

Some betting bonuses offer free bets as an incentive to all newcustomers or for existing customers in the lead-up to a major event such as theSuper Bowl or Grand National.

For example, some online sportsbooks offer a first betrefund guarantee in lieu of a deposit match bonus. In this case, the bettingsite promises to refund the customer’s first wager if it’s a loser with anequal amount of cash or site credit. For example, if a new customer places a$100 first bet and it loses, the sportsbook will drop a $100 bonus in thecustomer’s account.

Other offers for specific events or sports follow a similarpattern. As another example, a popular trend among betting sites in someregions is to offer customers a refund if they wager on a soccer game that endsin a no-goal draw.

Freebets, refund offers, enhanced odds and money-back specials are alsopopular.

Some free bets come with almost no restrictions. Bettingsites refund the whole value (up to a maximum amount) of the customer’s first wagerif it loses. Sometimes the refund may be withdrawn and sometimes the refund isonly issued as site credit.

This is an example of why it’s important to always read and consider the terms and conditions of any betting bonus offer before accepting.

Random Cash Infusions

Sometimes, online betting sites randomly add bonus moneyto customers’ accounts as a “thank you” for being a customer.

Others might hold regular prize draws, where randomly chosenwinners get a prize. The most popular betting brands regularly review theaccounts of customers and reward their loyalty accordingly.

Tip: Don’t hesitate to ask for a bonus. There is nothingwrong with emailing support and requesting a bonus – especially if you are inthe middle of a bad run and are a frequently active customer.

When deciding where to bet online, gamblers should take the time to compare betting bonus offers and choose the ones that make the most sense for their needs. Even players who have a favourite betting site may want to consider trying new sites occasionally to take advantage of new customer promos.

Enhanced Odds Offers

Enhanced odds offers or “odds boosts” give players higher-than-standardpayout odds on select wagers. For example, a bookmaker may want to generatemore action on an upcoming basketball game and boost the odds on one team from5/1 to 7/1.

The odds boost may in fact be the most common betting promotionof all. Some betting sites offer enhanced odds on certain events 24/7 just asstandard operating procedure.

One major advantage of enhanced odds offers is they rarelycome with complicated terms and conditions. Typically, the only restriction is customersmay only wager up to a certain amount of money on odds-boosted markets.

Reduced Juice Promos

Reduced juice promotions are functionally similar to oddsboost offers. In a reduce juice promo, the sportsbook lowers the takeout onboth sides of a wager to give customers more value for their money.

A standard reduced juice promotion might move standard 10/11 (-110) moneylines down to 19/20 (-105) on both sides. The benefit of a reduced juice offer is the same as it is for an enhanced odds promo: punters risk less to win more.

Accumulator (Parlay) Boosts

Accumulator boosts enhance the payouts of accumulator wagers, typically scaling up based on the number of legs added to the wager. Forexample, a betting site might offer a 5% payout boost on 3-leg accumulators,7.5% boost on 4-leg accumulators and so on.

The two things gamblers should look into when considering anenhanced accumulator offer is whether the bonus is paid as cash or site creditand if there is a maximum payout. Multi-leg accumulators can easily exceed abetting site’s maximum payout rule, which would make it pointless to risk toomuch money on any single accumulator.

Early Payouts

Mobile sportsbooks occasionally run early payout promotionsin which any wager on the winning team will be considered a winner and paidinstantly as soon as that team gets ahead by a certain number of points orgoals.

For example, an early payout offer might pay all backers of ateam if that team gets ahead by two goals at any point. What happens in therest of the match does not matter because the bet is paid as soon as theselected team gets ahead by two goals. Even if the other team makes a comebackand wins, the punters who backed that team would also still be paid as normal.

Refer-a-Friend Programs

Word of mouth is a time-tested form of marketing, and onlinesportsbooks are willing to give bonuses to customers who refer their friends. Atypical refer-a-friend program works by having customers log in and eithersubmit the e-mail addresses of their friends for a custom invitation or togenerate custom links they can share with their friends.

Betting referral programs usually offer current customers a flat fee or bonus in return for each friend referred. In many cases, the person who was referred also receives a bonus (on top of the any standard welcome bonuses).

Refer-a-friend offers rarely come with overly restrictive termsand conditions. Usually, the main condition is that referrals must deposit at leastX amount or place a certain total value of wagers before the referral fee ispaid.

Horse Racing Price Promises

Price promises and best odds guarantees come in a variety offlavors but are almost always beneficial to customers.

In some cases, a price promise is a guarantee that if the punterplaces a fixed-odds wager on a horse race but the starting price ends up beinghigher, the bookmaker will pay the customer at the higher price.

In other cases, bookmakers offer price promises as aguarantee to offer the best odds of any of their main competitors for importanthorse races. During the Grand National, for example, many betting sites promiseto meet or exceed the prices offered by every competitor on every horse.

Money Back If Your Horse Finishes 2nd

Online racebooks frequently offer promotions that refundcustomers who bet on horses to win but that end up finishing in second place. The goal is to encourage more betting on races, and usually these offersprovide value to punters without sneaky terms and conditions.

Similarly, some betting sites offer promos to pay extraplaces on each-way bets during major races. If a bet would typically pay 1/5odds on places 1-2-3, it might boost payouts one additional place so that 1/5odds are paid on places 1-2-3-4.

Betting Promo and Bonus Codes

Most online betting sites give bonuses by default to all newcustomers, while others require the use of bonus codes. Sites that requirepromo codes ask for them at some point during the signup or deposit process.

Betting bonus codes let the site know which bonus each newcustomer is entitled to. Inputting the latest referral code ensures customersget the best promo available. That being said, most bonus codes are simply usedto track marketing efforts and can largely be ignored.

OnlineBettingSites.com maintains up-to-date bonus codes forall sportsbooks that require them. Readers can see our reviews here formore information about claiming any specific offer, including important detailsfrom the terms and conditions attached to each bonus.

Betting bonus codes go by all sorts of different names and they come in all different forms. Some are simply called “bonus codes” while others may be called marketing codes or referral codes. Whatever they’re called, they all do the same thing: offer punters incentives to make a deposit and place a few bets.

At BettingOffers.org.uk, we showcase the latest betting offers from leading UK online betting sites and bookmakers. And unlike most betting guides, we list all offers – not just the ones for new customers.

Below you’ll find a list of the best free bets currently available – these are introductory offers that can only be claimed when signing up (hence ‘sign up bonus’ or SUB). If you don’t have accounts with the bookmakers and betting sites in the table, we strongly recommend getting one as they are not only some of the best bookies on the web, but they also offer a large majority of the cashback offers that we list elsewhere on the site. Sport Nation

Sport Nation represent one of the best new betting sites that we've seen in a long time. They are well funded and run on SB Tech which is packed full of features and markets and the same platform that sites like 10bet use. It's also refreshing to see that they don't scrimp on the loyalty offers either.

This Week in Sport: 8th to 14th February 2021

We have plenty to look forward to in the upcoming week in sport. There is the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup, the usual feast of Premier League and EFL Championship football for football fans to enjoy. Elsewhere, the 2021 Six Nations Championship continues on Saturday and Sunday, while the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament tees off this Thursday on the PGA Tour.

FA Cup: Which Clubs Will Progress to the Last Eight?

We have reached the last 16 of this season’s FA Cup, with all eight matches taking place in midweek. Burnley and Bournemouth kick things off with a tie at Turf Moor on Tuesday before Premier League sides Manchester United and West Ham United meet at Old Trafford.

Four games take place on Wednesday, including the Swansea City versus Manchester City match in South Wales and the Everton versus Tottenham Hotspur tie at Goodison Park. On Thursday evening, Wolverhampton Wanderers entertain Southampton at Molineux, while Championship side Barnsley host Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea at Oakwell. There don’t look to be many upsets likely, but anything can happen in the FA Cup.

Premier League: Man City Entertain Spurs at the Etihad

We have Premier League action to look forward to on Monday night, as Leeds United and Crystal Palace lock horns at Elland Road. All 20 clubs are then involved in top flight games throughout the weekend, which starts with the mouth-watering fixture at the King Power Stadium between Leicester City and current champions Liverpool.

On Saturday evening, Man City and Tottenham meet at the Etihad Stadium, while Brighton and Hove Albion and Aston Villa do battle at the Amex Stadium shortly after. Manchester United make the trip to The Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion, Arsenal host Leeds and Everton and Fulham go head-to-head at Goodison Park on Sunday.

EFL Championship: More Exciting Action in Tier Two

There are three rescheduled Championship games taking place in midweek. On Tuesday, Rotherham United entertain Cardiff City, while Sheffield Wednesday and Wycombe Wanderers square off at Hillsborough. In-form Brentford make the trip to Reading on Wednesday night as they continue their push for promotion.

Saturday’s action gets underway with an intriguing fixture between Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth at the City Ground. Later in the day, Norwich City welcome Stoke City to Carrow Road, while Swansea travel to the Steel City to face Sheffield Wednesday. Brentford entertain Barnsley in the final game of the round on Sunday.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Golf Action in California

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am takes place on the PGA Tour this week, with the action in Pebble Beach kicking off on Thursday. Canadian Nick Taylor won in California last year, beating Kevin Streelman by four strokes. Who will win at Pebble Beach this time around?

Six Nations: Tournament Enters Its Second Week

The second round of the 2021 Six Nations Championship will take place this weekend. First up, England welcome Italy to Twickenham Stadium, which is quickly followed by the Scotland versus Wales match from Murrayfield Stadium. On Sunday, Ireland and France go head-to-head in a tasty game at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Popular Offers

In this next section we’ll cover the more common types of offer that a lot of bookmakers tend to offer. That doesn’t mean that they’re all the same though, as you’ll find that variation in the terms can make a big difference to the value of an offer. For each promotion we’ve written a guide comparing the betting sites that offer it, explaining how it works and how to make the most of it.

  • Accumulator Insurance – A very popular promotion that’s offered by many bookmakers, yet varies wildly from site to site. The basic premise involves getting your money back (usually as a free bet) if only one leg of your accumulator loses. However, what you can bet on, and how many legs you need to place is different at pretty much every bookie. Some offer it on BTTS accas with 4 or more legs, whilst others will let you bet on any market in any sport, but require at least 6 legs. So which offer you go for is going to depend on what you want to bet on.
  • Accumulator Bonuses – Alternatively, if you’d favour a bonus on your winning accas over insurance on your losing ones, then go for an accumulator bonus. These payout an extra bonus of between 5% and 100% on your winning bets, with the actual percentage depending on the number of legs.
  • Loyalty Offers & Free Bets – On this website we feature many money back specials and other offers that can be claimed by existing customers at a bookie, but this section looks specifically at bonuses, rewards and free bets that are available to all customers. Included in this guide are reload bonuses, loyalty programs and even who’s more likely to dish out free bets.
  • Best Odds Guaranteed – A simple promotion, but one that can make a big difference to your winnings. This offer normally applies to horse racing and/or greyhoud racing and guarantees to give you the better odds out of the SP and the price you took. So if the odds drift, you’ll still get paid the bigger price, and if they shorten, you get the longer odds you originally took.
  • Price Promise – Price promises are most common in horse racing, but sometimes happen in football and other sports as well. Put simply, the bookmaker guarantees to offer the best odds when compared to other bookmakers. And if they don’t, they’ll match it. Put simply, a price promise means you don’t need to go hunting for the best odds, as you’re guaranteed to have them.

Bookmaker Reviews

For most of the bookmakers listed on our website we’ve also written detailed reviews. You can find a list of these below, sorted alphabetically. If you’re looking for a quicker read, we’ve also written summaries of our top 10 recommendations on our betting sites page.

About This Site

Pretty much all of the big UK bookmakers offer money back specials and promotions for the big sports betting events, and the bigger the event, the bigger the offers. But keeping track of these offers can be a nightmare – especially when you consider that bookies tend to release their promotions at the last minute.

So that’s where we come in. At Betting Offers we list the best offers from trusted and reliable bookmakers (you’ll probably recognise a large chunk of the betting sites we feature) all of which are neatly categorised by sport and removed from our listings as soon as they’re no longer available.

On all of our list pages we sort the offers according to the date the promotion expires – so a cash back special for tonights game will appear higher on the list than an offer for tomorrows game. However, some bookmakers run ongoing promotions that are valid for multiple games – because these either have a longer validity period (or no expiry date at all) they will appear towards the end of the lists. So it’s a good idea to have a scroll through to make sure that you don’t miss out on an offer that you might otherwise be interested in.

Betting Offers Explained

Online Betting Promotions

Just in case you’re scratching your head wondering what we’re going on about, we figured it’s probably worth giving you a quick run down on the different types of promotion you’ll find on this website:

Best Online Betting Offers

Introductory Free Bets/Bonuses

The first is for sign-up offers and welcome bonuses – to claim these you will need to be a new customer at the site. These promotions are usually in the form of a completely free bet, matched bet or deposit bonus. These bonuses are great for general betting and there are plenty of them – you can either browse our list at the top of the page to see our favourites, or for a longer list, head on over to the free bets page.

Retention Offers

The second type of offers are open to everyone – including both new customers and existing customers. Some of these offers such as have been running for a long time, whilst others relate to a specific event and end very quickly. This second category of promotion is incredibly varied and consists of:

Online Betting Deals

  • Cashback/Money Back Specials: Here you receive your money back if something specific happens. For example you might get your money back on a correct score bet if a red card is shown at any point during the game, or if your horse loses by less than a length.
  • Reload Bonuses: Top up your account with the bookie and they might give you some bonuses to bet with. For example, get a bonus worth 50% of your next deposit.
