Types of sports betting wagers on FanDuel

Moneyline

If you look at the board of NFL games, each team has a three-digit number with a plus (underdog) or minus (favorite) sign listed under the money column. For example, the home team DallasCowboys are -154, which means you would need to bet $154 to win $100. A bettor who takes the New York Giants at +138 would earn $138 on the same $100 wager.

Point spreads

The big decision here is determining if the favorite will cover the spread or will the underdogwin with the points (Yes, there are many times in which the underdog flat out wins.). Some games may be listed as a pick in which points are a nonfactor. Other times, high numbers are in play such as the New Orleans Saints being a 10-point favorite at home over the Cleveland Browns. The lines will change based on which side the money is being played.

Parlays

A parlay is a type of bet in which you combine multiple individual bets into one. Combining the bets decrease your odds, but increase the reward. In order for you to cash out on a parlay bet, you must win EVERY bet on the card. If you play a three-team parlay, but only two of the teams win, you lose the bet. A winning ticket, on the other hand, results in a higherpayoff versus that of the three individual bets.

Prop bets

While Super Bowl Sunday may be a busy day for prop bets, wagers can be made in any sport. MLB games, for instance, have props on the first five innings, inning props and game props.

Futures

If you’re looking to wager months inadvance on the Super Bowl, WorldSeries, StanleyCup or NBAFinals months all fall under future bets. Futures have been a popular choice among those placing the ceremonial first bet at retail sportsbooks.

Teasers

This single bet is a combination of at least three-point spread wagers into a single bet in which you can adjust the spreads favorably (the odds shift the same with each wager). Your advantage will result in a lower payout compared to betting the games individually with the points.

Live betting

Round-robins

According to the press release, across its four major brands, PPB had more than 5 million active customers and processed more than $15 billion in sports wagers in 2017.

In July, PPB and FanDuel announced the completion of the merger that combines PPB’s US businesses with FanDuel “creating the largest online sports destination in the United States.”

International Game Technology (IGT), also based out of London, provides technical support via its PlayShot sports betting platform.
